Our Core Values lie at the center of what we believe, who we are, and what we do. We believe that the following values are essential for the success of the Zambia Project:
A fervent love relationship with God dictates our strategy and lifestyle. Everything we do has Christ Jesus as the centre and is aimed at glorifying Him. Our purpose for the Zambia Project is obedience to God’s will and our desire is for the Kingdom of God to be established around the world. We will bring the Gospel where it is not yet known and uplift communities through various strategies.
God calls us to embrace risk and even sacrifice as we serve Him. He is the supplier of all that we need in order to do His work in the world. Risk may involve forfeiting financial stability and/or personal by following His calling to serve. Our faith will be tested as we obey God and trust Him for what we cannot see. We believe that one of the greatest dangers to the Zambia Project is complacency.
Integrity is the mainstay of all our decisions – without integrity everything else is meaningless! We are accountable to God and to the Body of Christ – for all actions affecting our relationship with God and others. We are good stewards and believe that all that we are and have belongs to Him. We endeavor to use and manage everything at our disposal wisely and well. We take this responsibility very seriously.
True greatness in God’s Kingdom is measured by service. Jesus, who is our example, “did not come to be served, but to serve…”. We believe that this attitude of servant hood must be a characteristic of our lives and every aspect of our ministry relationships, leadership and especially in using our spiritual gifts. We respect and consider others more highly than ourselves.
We highly value and appreciate our partnerships with local and international ministries. Our partners share our core values and have behaviors that compliment ours. We work hard to treat all partners with respect and act in ways that earn their respect. Our experience has taught us that in every culture, relationship is the key. Within the Zambia Project, relationship is the foundation for ministry.
We believe in being culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure. Our worship style, our way of doing things and our presentation will always is appropriate, understandable and relevant no matter which culture we may find ourselves in.
At the Zambia Project we make it our goal to help others achieve their destiny in God. We do this by providing opportunities for people both locally and from abroad to serve with us. We place high priority on leadership training and development, both with our village churches and long term missionaries. We therefore believe that the Zambia Project and our long term missionaries should be lead by those with leadership qualities that empower and equip others at all levels of ministry.
Autonomous is defined as self-governing and self-financing. Our objective is not just to establish churches or works, but autonomous churches or works. We believe that autonomous principles are foundational for doing missions effectively, and are the heart of Project Zambia. We believe the local church is the means and measure of evangelism.
